Guest rooms

The four guest rooms are located in the outbuildings of an 11th century Romanesque chapel on the Château de la Vieille Chapelle winery, on the edge of the Dordogne. You can go to your room from 4 p.m. and you must leave it before 11 a.m.. Our rooms do not have a television. Our rooms are labeled “Tourism & Handicap” and “Vineyard & Discovery ». 

The breakfasts are included in the price of the rooms. 

Breakfasts in the Chapel

Breakfasts - for our guests - are served daily from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel. 

Sundays are more likely to start at 9 a.m. If you want an earlier breakfast it is quite possible. Please let us know. 

Continental breakfast. Local and organic products for the most part. Honey from the property. Coffee, tea, chocolate. Fresh orange juice, yogurts. Breads and pastries. In addition we offer omelettes, bacons, cheeses. 

Breakfasts are included in the price of the rooms. 

The Guinguette of the Old Chapel

Open every summer (from May to September), weather permitting, we host a Guinguette des Vins in the garden. Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Jazz concert every Friday.

Property wines, tapas, cheese and charcuterie platters. On the banks of the Dordogne.

At certain times, discover the Tidal Bore.

Reservations are not required, but it is best to book in advance. Priority booking for our guests.

The table d'hôtes

From May to October, outside of Guinguette days, we offer a catering service in the evening. Between €20 and €25 per person, excluding drinks. Sit in the garden by the Dordogne River or in the Chapel and enjoy our region's mild climate. Fabienne uses fresh, seasonal produce, often organic or sourced from local producers.

From November to April, our kitchen is closed. Guests have access to a large kitchen and living room to prepare their own meals or have a picnic overlooking the Dordogne.

Tasting of the wines of the property

Every evening at 6:30 p.m., we offer wine tastings. This tasting is offered to our guests. It is 6 euros per our visitors. 

Tasting between 3 and 6 wines. Organic / bio-dynamic wines and visit of the cellar if affinity. 

Allow about 45 to 60 minutes. Tasting in French and English. 

Our environmental commitments

• Raw materials used in mostly natural rooms: stone, wood
• Linen curtains, sheets and duvet covers
• Rooms without television, in order to promote "disconnection" (wifi access throughout the estate)
• Natural care products and refillable containers
• Organic cleaning products (detergent, floor cleaning, etc.)
• Fabienne cooks fresh and seasonal produce for dinner, very often organic and mostly locally sourced
• Waste from the estate sorted and recovered

Good to know

On site, you will find free parking and a secure place to store your bikes. Pets are not accepted in guest rooms. The Château de la Vieille Chapelle takes advantage of its privileged environment to present services for well-being and fitness. Can our rooms accommodate a baby cot, a folding bed for children aged 3 to 12 and/or an extra bed for teenagers and adults?  

Free Wifi in all rooms and the garden. The rooms are non-smoking. However, you can smoke outside in the garden.  

Our animal friends are not accepted in the rooms. Thank you for your understanding.

Swimming pool from May to September

To relax or just cool off, the swimming pool is accessible from May to September. Deckchairs and parasols. Secure swimming pool for children. Open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pool towels available in the rooms.
