A family affair
The Château de la Vieille Chapelle is an 11th century Roman Chapel, in the middle of a wine estate, on the edge of the Dordogne. The Château de la Vieille Chapelle is located in the town of Lugon and Ile du Carney, in the heart of the Gironde.
Since June 29, 2006, your hosts, Fabienne, Frédéric and their children, have been living and working in this little corner of paradise. They have a passion for their profession and the desire to produce one of the best Bordeaux.
Your hosts warmly welcome you to their haven of peace. This business and this family estate are the culmination of a dream and a desire to share and work the land responsibly.
A certain idea of the worlds around us...
The Château de la Vieille Chapelle is the association of a guest house and the life of a vineyard. We invite you to discover this universe and the life of wine: from the vine to the tasting. We have been producing organically since 2009, and since 2015 biodynamically. From 2017 all wines are Demeter certified.
It is also a holistic approach to how we share the spaces between the mineral, vegetable, animal and cosmic "worlds" and men and women.
Very modestly the objective is to take "care of the earth" rather than to exploit it.
Link titleOur team
After 10 years of expatriation in Asia, Fabienne and Frédéric returned to France in 1998. They searched for 14 years for the domain of their dreams, before settling in the Château de la Vieille Chapelle in 2006. It is a new challenge. ! Frédéric focuses on production, winemaking and business development. Fabienne manages activities related to wine tourism. They surround themselves with a team of professionals on a daily basis: oenologist, organic and biodynamic consultant, marketing, communication, etc.
